Why skip the Greyhound, flight, or rental

For intercity trips under about 400 miles, a private driver can beat other options on speed, convenience, or both — especially for groups.

Faster than flying

For 250-mile trips, private driver beats flying once you factor security + rental car at the other end. Door-to-door.

Cheaper for groups

4-6 people sharing? Works out cheaper per-person than 4 plane tickets + a rental SUV.

Stop wherever

Outlet malls, national parks, fruit stands, photo spots. Side trips are just “can we pull over?”

Same-day return

Drive LA → Vegas, enjoy a day, drive back. Bus/flight same-day is painful — a private driver isn’t.

How city-to-city bookings work

Same general flow as other bookings, usually with a day or two lead time.

1

Post your route

Start city + end city, date & time, passengers, round trip or one-way. Optional: stops along the way.

2

Get quotes

Drivers who cover your route respond with a total price (one-way or round-trip). Usually within a day.

3

Pick a driver

Compare profiles, vehicles (sedan/SUV/van), and total prices. Message with questions about route details.

4

Travel

Driver picks you up, drives you direct to your destination, stops wherever you want. Payment is directly to the driver.

City-to-City FAQ

Common questions for intercity trips.

What’s the price range?
Drivers set their own rates. Rough ballpark: LA ↔ Vegas is typically $400-700 total (one-way, sedan). Bigger vehicles or longer routes scale up. Groups of 4-6 usually find it cheaper per-person than flying.
Can I book one-way or round-trip?
Both. Round-trips with a same-day or next-day return are usually cheaper per mile than two separate one-ways. Specify in your request.
Can we stop along the way?
Yes — that’s one of the main reasons people book private drivers instead of flying. Outlet malls, photo stops, meal breaks, scenic detours. Mention significant stops in your request so the driver can plan.
What if I want to stay overnight and return the next day?
Many drivers accept next-day returns. Some charge a nominal overnight fee (they need a hotel room); others absorb it into the trip rate. Ask each driver when you get quotes.
What vehicles are available?
Sedans for 1-3 people, SUVs for 4-6 with luggage, minivans for 6-7, Sprinter vans for 10-14. Longer routes often make SUV/van more comfortable.
Does the driver cross state lines?
Most listed drivers are insured for interstate trips. Common crossings (CA-NV, NY-NJ-CT, WA-OR) are routine. Less common routes may depend on the individual driver.
